HEART is a blend of flower essences crafted to support our relationship to what else, the heart. The heart energy center governs love, compassion, connection, and the capacity to give and receive affection in balance. It is the bridge between the lower, more physical chakras and the upper, more transcendent ones, integrating earthly and spiritual experiences into a sense of wholeness and connection with oneself and others.
However, when this energy center is out of balance, it can manifest as difficulties in forming or maintaining healthy relationships, a lack of self-love, feelings of isolation or loneliness, excessive dependence on others for validation, or an inability to forgive oneself or others.
In the world at this time, it’s common for the heart chakra to be out of balance due the prevalence of societal conditioning that prioritizes achievement over connection, chronic stress, and the widespread disconnection from our bodies and emotions. The rapid pace of modern life, compounded by digital isolation and cultural narratives that glorify individualism over community, often leaves little space for authentic relationships, vulnerability, and compassion. These dynamics can create barriers to the natural flow of love and connection, both with ourselves and others.
An under-active heart center may manifest as difficulty forming or maintaining close relationships, feelings of loneliness or isolation, being emotionally withdrawn from others, or an inability to express or receive love freely. It can also show up as a lack of empathy or compassion, unmitigated self-criticism, fear of vulnerability, or holding grudges. This under-activity is often rooted in unresolved emotional wounds, grief, or protective barriers created to avoid further hurt.
An overactive heart chakra, on the other hand, may manifest as excessive emotional dependence, codependency, or a tendency to put others' needs ahead of your own to a pathological degree. It can also lead to being overly empathetic to the point of losing personal boundaries, difficulty saying no, or an unrealistic idealization of relationships. It can show up as overwhelming feelings of “love” or attachment that becomes suffocating or draining for both oneself and others. This overactivity often stems from an attempt to compensate for deeper feelings of insecurity or a fear of being unloved.
By addressing the wounds of the heart chakra, we create space for healing and transformation, allowing us to reconnect with our innate capacity for love, compassion, and empathy. This process involves embracing vulnerability, practicing forgiveness—both toward ourselves and others—and cultivating a sense of self-worth that is not dependent on external validation. As we heal, we open up to deeper connections with others, healthier relationships, and the ability to give and receive love without fear or attachment.
**As always! “Healing” the heart center takes more than just dropping some flower essences on the tongue. Those imbalances aren’t random! They’re there from some wound/belief system/trauma that will ultimately need to be processed if we truly want a well functioning solar plexus.
