Nicotiana rustica, also called mapacho, differs from the varieties of tobacco we know from cigarettes, cigars, chews, and dips. Nicotiana Rustica contains ~nine times the amount of nicotine in common tobaccos and is generally reserved for ceremonial purposes.

This tobacco essence has a wide variety of uses.

I’ve found it to be simultaneously grounding, uplifting, opening, clarifying, and cleansing to my energetic being, offering the sense that I’m ultimately ok, even as the world at large seems to be devolving further into insanity.

It feels like a stabilizing force, the kind that we are so greatly lacking in the over-culture.

Nicotiana rustica essence could be helpful for:

⁃ healing wounds from a physically and/or emotionally absent father

⁃ calling in stable partnership

⁃ not feeling initiated to the forces of life and your individual place in the human ecosystem

⁃ desiring a more grounded sense of self & purpose

⁃ feeling an absence of guidance from elders

⁃ or just a desire to feel held by life & recognize that you’re ok

Essences in general are subjective and different people experience them in different ways. The first time you try an essence, I suggest emptying your mind of anything you may have heard about the plant and see what it has to personally share with you.

And remember, plant “spirit” medicine is available anytime, anywhere. If you don’t have the funds to purchase an essence, all you have to do is welcome in the consciousness of tobacco and see what they have to share with you.
